Big edit because I'm tired of doing this shit and if you can do it then please just fucking do it
Look, you can even use the program 'Piskel', and I even linked it for you right there. I will greatly appreciate you doing shit
SO WE'LL BEGIN WITH STIGMAS:
Stigmas are really easy. Like, anyone could do it.
First, get your Shadiir's eye color. Or colors. Get that hex code. Mmm, yeah. Better memorize that shit. I've memorized Mischief's- c91857 -so since all y'all pick really simple hex shit (like everyone has bright eyes or whatever and you'll run out of pure hues eventually my dudes lmao) you should NOT have any difficulty with knowing this
So you take that and you draw some cool-ass design in a 30x30 area. Ooh, yeah, slather that sweet, sweet color all over. But make sure that shit is symmetrical.
We have a few different kinds of symmetry you can use for this, and I even have some examples in case you don't know what the hell I'm smoking.
First, we got mirror symmetry.
So as you can see in these examples, stigmas like this just mirrors left-to-right. Super easy.
Next, we have what is technically four-way symmetry:
This one mirrors itself left-to-right and up-and-down. Mmm, baby. Oh, and that middle one? Yeah, someone who wasn't me made that shit. Super hot.
Now, we've got our eight-way symmetry:
So basically the mirroring is like. Uh. In eight parts. I don't know how to describe that, to be honest. But that's what this is.
Third, we got some three-fourth (or six-eighth?) symmetry:
That's trippy. It's got like, special shit in one corner, and the rest follows the normal drill of four-way symmetry.
Lastly, we got frieze-pattern symmetry (i picked that term up from vi hart):
We only got that one example so you can't see a pattern, really, but basically, it isn't symmetrical left-to-right or up-and-down, but if you flipped it 180 degrees it would look the same. It's some fancy shit.
Alright. So you made your 30x30 design, which is totally original, because there is practically no way it couldn't be. Now what?
Well, you go to a back layer and surround the whole design in white. (This means that the images' total size is gonna be 32x32.)
Then, here's the more 'complicated' shit. You go to this site (I linked it for you lazy weenies) and you put that eye color in the first slot, and the hex for white in the second (#ffffff). Then, you set the midpoints to 4, and slam that 'blend' button.
Those two hexes closest to white? You're gonna need those. If white is 0, the closest to white is 1 and the furthest is 2.
So your stigma is gonna be 5 frames long (at 8 frames per second). Here's the frame pattern:
2 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1
Once you got all that shit done, congratulations, you've got your sick as fuck stigma. Make sure to give me that shit so I can put it on the official art page, because yeah, that shit is legit.
NEXT WE GOT THOSE SICK-ASS HEADSPRITES:
These are gonna be a little more difficult to make, since I don't have a bunch of templates pre-made, but you guys are pretty clever, and I'm sure you'll figure it out.
So the basic idea is that they're 128x128, with 32 frames at 12 frames per second. The sprite bobs up and down (four frames for each 'up' or 'down', each being a single pixel adjustment), and blinks. The general size of the Shadiir itself may vary, and the appearance of beaks are also quite wide in variety.
I'll show some examples.
FEMALE:
[missing_example] [missing_example] [missing_example]
MALE:
[missing_example]
Many of these sprites are subject to future change, and many additional sprites may be added.
FINALLY, THE FULL-BODY SPRITES:
The templates for that shit? Not done. I'm working on it, but wings suck.
(If you want to help me finish that shit up, please let me know. I can do everything BUT the wings. The wings are hell, and I want to die.)
Once you're done with any/all of these, send them to me through private messaging, or post them on your character development page. I'll do the rest. <3
