Long ago, towards the beginning of sentience in the Shadiir, there was war. Fighting over color of scales, eyes, and gender, and on occasion, over gods. But many innocent lives were being lost, and the Shadiir were being driven to extinction.
In the times of this chaos, a virus was sent into the atmosphere of Shaniir. It began to kill off many of the Shadiir, but a few Shadiir found themselves immune to this illness- one of these Shadiir was Chrianite. After researching alongside the group of immune Shadiir, she discovered that the virus targeted the melanin in their scales, and the sole reason that her small group was able to survive was because of their albinism.
In a means that none have yet discovered, she came upon an odd crystal- harder than diamond but fragile as glass. It held another universe within, but with the energy of our universe tenfold. An instrument of the gods. It is said that it would consume anyone with greed and hunger for this power.
Chrianite used its power to bring peace and knowledge to the Shadiir, and berid of the illness. Under her, a new reign began. The First Queen of the Shaniirian Empire had risen.
First, she brought order to the people of her planet. Designing classes and jobs according to what a Shadiir was naturally good at, she crafted an organization of occupations that have lasted even up to present day. Her knowledge was that of a god, and she used that to bring harmony to her people. There was little to no rebellion, and wars were not been raged upon the planet throughout the entirety of her reign. It was a peaceful age, until the end, in which she vanished, and no one has seen her since- there was no body or bones or even a trace of her to be found. Some suspect she arose to become an Elder Soul- or, as some would put it, a god- to bring balance to the universe. A few cults have formed in her name.
Although her mate was unknown to the public, many speculate that it was The One of Many Names, a crazy king whose mind melted under the stress of his ascension to godhood. However, all that is known of this Shadiir comes from messy scrawls in smokehouses, so it's debatable whether or not he really existed.
Chrianite was known to have two sons and a daughter; only the daughter's name is known- Kindle.
Kindle was a powerful leader in the monarchy. Her nature was a nurturing one, and she was fiercely protective over her Empire. She was able to prepare her people for the coming war.
The T'jurn had declared that they wanted to claim Shaniir for themselves, but Kindle refused to let that happen. The Second High Queen led the war in the front lines, against the T'jurn warbots, and to this day, many fear and respect the Shadiir for the battle that is now known as the War of Crimson Rock. After that battle, the T'jurn became a peaceful race, and an alliance soon formed between the two races.
Kindle died shortly after the war was finished from an infected wound.
The third Queen was Maya. Her mate was David, an upper-class male with a secret greed for power. He craved something more. He knew of his Empire's power, and he longed to use it. He informed Maya about his plans for the Lucifer Experiment. In her naïvety, she trusted him fully and believed that what he was doing was for the good of the Empire.
Construction began. However, their daughter, Mischief, found out their plans, and she knew what happened to most creatures who attempted the Lucifer Experiment- death, mutilation, or sometimes, they would even be written out of existence. She knew that it would not end well for them.
Working together with Jade and Siorja, her childhood friends, she deranked her father by tearing off a pair of his horns and sending him into hiding. But this was not enough, as David was still alive, striking in the shadows, killing all who opposed him, including Siorja.
Mischief fought off her father once more, leaving him for dead, and later, fought off her grief-stricken mother, but her world was already crumbling.
This was where the split happened.
In the timeline we live in, she was too late to save her planet, and it blinked out of the corporeal world, and Mischief only made it out alive with her soul intact.
But in this roleplay's timeline, she stumbled across an ancient relic- the crystal we now call after the First Queen, Chrianite- and used its power to restore the planet.
Mischief now, in the present day, rules as the Fourth High Queen of the Shaniirian Empire. The cataclysm has shaken everyone, but very few know what happened. Unknown threats are looming over the horizon.
