Omerin is a lower-class male Shadiir that prefers to go by the nickname “Omega” and is aged approximately 12 orbits. Greyish-brown eyes indicate an unaptly-named “shrinking violet” personality along with possible low self-esteem or self loathing tendencies. From what he can recall, Omega has never had a family to speak of, and typically lives in caves underneath or nearby the city. He managed to receive a decent education thanks to the public low-class schools in the area and got by financially by working small children’s jobs in his free time.
A hobby of Omega’s is flying, which he began learning as soon as possible. Oftentimes you may be able to spot him speeding down corridors or a decent ways above the city, an easily recognizable blue gleaming in his eyes as he does so. Combined with this and his constant walking among the city and its surrounding caves (as he has no better means of transportation), he is somewhat fit, and is at least able to move quite quickly using only his legs and wings if needed.
Additionally, Omega has a passion for both physics and biology, fascinated in both the concept of learning how things interact with one another on either an atomic or galactic scale, and the incredibly diverse flora and fauna of Shaniir (and of possible alien planets). Although being firmly logical, calculating, and fact-minded, Omega also has a knack for writing literature and has a remarkable singing voice--if you can catch him in the act, anyways.
Although intelligent and mature for his age, Omega is often plagued with anxiety. He has a lot of trouble meeting and interacting with new people, and his maturity often causes him to dwell on the future--he knows all too well that he will have trouble both when he begins work and when he reaches adulthood, and that his horns will cause him to be discriminated against during both times, and is often paralyzed by the thought that he will not be able to handle it once the time comes.
Omega also sometimes has difficulty understanding other’s emotions--he can read faces alright, but he has trouble understanding people’s motives or reasoning behind their actions, and is very often confused as to why people are irritated by him--if he accidentally says something offending, he needs to be told. He is discomforted by unpleasant or overly strong smells, and those well-versed in such subjects may be able to pin those symptoms down as autism--although Omega was never diagnosed. On a final note, Omega’s vision is severely impaired--he is nearsighted and has lazy eye, his left eye being almost completely blind. He also has a small speech impediment that causes him to be unable to pronounce “r” sounds.
On first impression, Omega is oftentimes seen as a quiet and reserved person, and he is aware of this. Although, with people whom he is comfortable with, he is often loud and talkative. Eager to have conversations, he is oftentimes willing to talk about any subject possible--even though he prefers the deep and intellectual, and even though he would quite prefer to not be, he is, at heart(s), twelve orbits old, even though he may only act it with the people whom he is closest.
