Mischief is the fourth High Queen of the Shaniirian Empire.
An overbite is one of the first features people notice about her- a birth defect that has caused others more strife than it has caused her. Her teeth are slightly yellowed due to her consistent use of maple- a secret that she has kept very well. The color of her scales are a very average gray, speaking statistically, which is sharply contrasted by the light gray feathers of her single wing, and the stub left on her left side after a particularly fierce fight with her mother, Maya.
On top of this, the old Queen left a few other injuries- a pair of jagged lines across Mischief's throat, and a large patch on the tip of her tail, from where her old tail shards were torn off. She also has a small, but disabling, scar on her right eye, from David. It has partially blinded her on that side- a fact that she has grown self-conscious about. On top of all these, she has a small gash on the inside of her left hind leg from an accident when she was very young. Due to healing improperly, the foot splays awkwardly when she walks, and occasionally causes her discomfort.
Mischief is not one for organization and planning ahead, and usually tends to make choices on the spur of a moment. This has been both good and bad in a variety of situations. Contrary to what is interpreted as 'moving on a whim', however, the Queen is also a very strong believer in unity and equality, and wants to strengthen the bonds between her people after the split caused by the previous reign.
Many who know of her fear her 'berserker mode'- a wild change in her mood in which she becomes violent and untrusting for a period of time, her eyes turning crimson. This berserker mode has been known to last for varying periods of time- it could last for a few waking cycles, or even half of an orbit. These moods become more frequent with the absence of maple, which helps levels her mind.
Another strange anomaly has to do with her dreams. Although it has only happened during these berserker modes in the past, Mischief has been able to affect the outside world while dreaming, and even has increased strength and speed during this time. The only one who knows about this odd power is Broken, her old 'nestmaid'.
